    QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

    Q. What is a zine?
    A. A zine is usually a self published non commercial piece of print media in small circulation, typically appealing to a niche. This zine is a fan artbook.
    Q. What's a fan artbook?
    A. In this context, a fan artbook can basically be summed up as a big collab where a bunch of artists and/or writers make pieces for a single project with a theme. The theme of this one just happens to be male Pokemon villains and vore. There aren't really any vore ones, let alone male pred ones, so I thought it would be fun to do one.
    Q. I know that the theme here is vore, but would kind of vore?
    A. The main focus is (at the very least implied) oral vore, both same size and macro/micro.
    Q. Seems interesting, I'd love to contribute and submit something!
    A. Thank you for your interest! Unfortunately at this time applications are now closed. If I end up needing additional artists or writers I may open them up again at a later date.
    Q. I know, but I made something specifically for it >.<
    A. Ah I'm a big softie and I can appreciate a bit of effort like that so ah sure look it, I'll give it a look through and if it fits under all the guidelines, I can include it as a bonus of sorts
    Q. When you say male Pokemon villains, is this limited to just the main series games?
    A. Nope! I intend for this to be all encompassing - so not just the main game villains: We're also including villains also exclusive to spin off titles, the anime series, and the various manga in the definition. The idea is that you can can get very technical and creative with it as long as you can find a way to justify in the context of the character appearing, that they are a male villain in the Pokemon franchise.
    Q. Does N count as a villain?
    A. Yes. Yes he does.
    Q. Does Piers count as a villain?
    A. Yes, he also does.
    Q. Does Volo count as a villain?
    A. Yes, he also also does.
    Q. As an artist on the zine, I'm stuck for ideas on what characters to do. Do you have any suggestions?
    A. I am very biased. Here are some ideas for characters to do:
    - Lysandre - Pokemon XY
    - Faba - Pokemon SuMo and USUM
    - Petrel - Pokemon HGSS
    - Kincaid - Pokemon ranger shadows of almia
    - Doctor Zed - Pokemon movie 23
    - Alva - Pokemon movie 19
    - Imposter Oak - Pokémon TCG
    - Male Aether Foundation employee - Pokemon SuMo and USUM
    - Lance - Pokémon adventures manga
    - Sordward and Shielbert - Pokemon SwSh
    Q. What format will the zine be available in?
It is intended to be available for free as a download in PDF format.
    Q. Will physical copies be available?
    A. We're going old school, baby!! A free print-at-home version will be available with instructions. All you'll need is access to a printer (if you don't have one at home, Internet cafes and libraries are great), paper, and a stapler (long arm staplers are ideal). You can also use a hole puncher and treasury tags if you don't have a stapler, or use glue.
    Q. Are minors be able to participate?
    A. Absolutely not. Given the nature of things at hand, You MUST be 18 or over to participate in any way from the interest check, to submitting applications, to submitting art, to even viewing it. This is a strictly adults only zone and I want to hammer that in.
    Q. When the time came, did contributors need to present an excessive portfolio, examining participants extensively in order to apply?
    A. No! Because this isn't a job, I don't have the time, and that is completely unnecessary for a small time zine with a budget of nothing. As long as they're 18+ and have passion in their heart for (male pred focused vore) art they could contribute. Though I think it goes without saying I won't tolerate sexual harassment of any kind, nor will I accept people who believe minors should be in vore communities and interacting with adults.
All that was required for a portfolio was 4 vore artworks for an artist or 2 vore written pieces if you're a writer. The submitted pieces, for portfolio purposes, must not have contained any of the content that is not allowed in the zine (see the guidelines page). The subjects must be have been human/humanoid (e.g.kemonomimi) as that is the focus of this zine. At least 2 if you're an artist, 1 if you're a writer, works would have ideally been of canon characters of a series or franchise (not OCs). This was just so I knew contributors were capable of making work that sticks to the specification. Only work submitted as a part of the 'portfolio' was put into consideration with the expectation that contributors are able to produce work similar in quality to what is presented. Potential contributors were encouraged to submit regardless of 'skill' or 'resources'!Going forward if I do more collaborative zines in the future, I'm gonna run things the same way I did this time with application forms.Q. Can I make money from this zine?
No. This zine is non profit on all ends and is done as a fun project. Myself included, when this goes up eventually on itch.io there will be no option to give any money for it. If you end up enjoying the works of the artists, their socials will be linked so you can seek them out and give them your money!!!
    Q. Do I need to have a form of social media presence to contribute?
    A. Absolutely not! All that is required is an email and the 'portfolio' previously stated when it comes to applying. Like I said, what you do outside of this zine is not my business - for example, if you're primarily a sfw artist who draws vore in their spare time, you can be accommodated. If you're on board and would like to remain as an anonymous contributor that can absolutely be arranged.
    Q. I can draw, but I don't have access to digital supplies/only pen or pencil and paper/don't think I'm the most skilled at art. Can I still contribute?
    A. That's completely fine. I don't really care about the 'skill' or 'resources', if that makes sense, because I know I'm not the greatest artist in the world either, plus, not everyone can afford a graphics tablet or programmes to draw on. As long as you have a basic grasp of anatomy and can draw vore bellies that are more substantial than the circle tool in MS Paint, I think you're good to go. All I will say though, is if your final contributing Piece(s) are done on paper I will have to digitally clean them up but I will try and keep things as close to the original as I can (so if it's in grayscale it will stay that way).
    Q. Are trans HCs and interpretations allowed?
    A. Of course! I don't think it'd be right to exclude. If you are concerned about specifics, feel free to ask but I will more than likely say yes to it.
    Q. Do I have to comply with canon outfits?
    A. Not necessarily. You can draw Maxie in slutty jorts if you want.
    Q. Will the mod also be contributing?
    A. Of course! By default I pitched in 3 pieces. As of now I've done 5 though - may or may not do more.
    Q. Will there be a mod application?
    A. No, I prefer to run things myself. Maybe this will change if I get overwhelmed but I prefer to organise everything myself.
    Q. Does the mod have any previous experience with zines and/or self publishing?
    A. Yes, I contributed in a few zines a few years ago but this is the first time I'm taking the helm at organizing a full on collaborative project. I will be up front about that. I have put out a doujinshi before with guest art from a friend, and have also done several art trades with a variety of artists, if that counts for anything in terms of organizing collaborative art projects.
    Q. Is there a group chat or discord or skype or telegram or something similar?
    A. Nope! I don't like that sort of stuff. I don't even really see a point when I can just individually contact everyone involved. If you want to talk with other people working on the zine you're free to do so in your own time. If you have additional questions or work to submit, just contact me directly through email at [email protected] .
    Q. I don't like someone in the zine or their work.A. I am sorry to hear that. If you have problems with someone or their work, please take it up with them, not with me. I am not here to be a mediator in interpersonal drama or what content is made outside of the zine, I'm here to put together an accessible male pred vore zine done just for fun. If you have a problem with the genders, race, or sexuality of contributors of the zine, I want to make it clear that I do not tolerate bigotry.Q. I think the content restrictions make you seem like a prude/boring.
    A. They are in place based on my own comfort as the zine organiser, and also the result of the interest check. If you are unhappy with the lack of certain types of content I am sorry to hear it but they will not be changing.

    GUIDELINES

    Submissions for the zine itself

    - Any ideas be sure to run them by me, the zine organiser, first just so I am sure that they fit under the zine theme and don't contain anything that is restricted. Remember: For the pred subject you have to be able to justify them being a villain/antagonist in some way.- Every piece in the zine must be vore art or writing - it can either be explicitly oral or just implied.- Content that shows characters going down throats or being swallowed without prey being in the stomach yet is allowed.- Internal shots are allowed in addition to a male pred being present in a piece.- Alternate forms of vore like cock vore, anal vore, and unbirthing are not allowed.- The vore content can be same size or macro/micro.- Gender of the prey is inconsequential - can be any gender.- Scenarios can range from being willing wholesome cute fluffy protective to having an unwilling mean spirited meal - it is honestly up to you, variety amongst contributors is encouraged!- The characters can be naked or involved in forms of sexual activity as long as there is vore in the image also.- You are allowed to include your OCs either as prey or observer roles. Shipping is allowed as long as the characters are canonically adults and are not related as family.- Pokemon can appear as props but are not to be portrayed as the subjects themselves (either eating or getting eaten) - this zine focuses on the series human characters.- Implied digestion and melty/goopy digestion is allowed but graphic digestion with blood, gore, and bones is not.- For artists, canvas specification is done by pixel measurements, so pixels wise the canvas size is 879 pixels in width and 1240 pixels in height. If that canvas is too small, double that is 1758 pixels in width, 2480 pixels in height. If that's still too small, quadruple that to 3516 pixels in width, 4960 pixels in height. Anything that isn't exactly to that ratio that may have to be cropped or enlarged to fit the space. Regardless though, if it's not 879 x 1240 it will have to be resized so ideally try and keep to it. Please have final submitted pieces be in PNG format.

    - For writers, fics should be more than 1000 words, but not exceed 6000 words.

    Content restrictions for the zine
(as well as in portfolio applications):

    - Canonically underage characters
    - Incest (this includes characters who are family eating each other)
    - Scat / Disposal / Fart / Watersports / ABDL
    - Female pred
    - Foot fetish / crushing
    - Gore / Bones
    - Hard vore
    - Non oral vore (Cock vore, anal vore, unbirthing, etc)
    - Feral/Pokemon pred or prey (props and observer roles only)

    SCHEDULE

Everything is susceptible to change either due to unforeseen circumstances or deadline extensions, but this is how things are currently. For when the creation period starts: Check ins are essentially there to act as mandatory catch up and see if all contributors are still interested in the zine, and where their progress is at. If extensions are needed please don't hesitate to ask. If you've made progress before the listed check ins and would like to do so manually, do not hesitate to do so!Also, on the off chance that everyone manages to finish their pieces before the the final submissions due date (June 24th) the zine will be able to have an earlier release! But no pressure of course.
